Surely, it is a mischief and negligence of hospital to having overlooked this "insignificant" detail! Well, I sympathize with you, poor patient!

Well, the nurse has not done anything wrong. I'm head nurse of a hospital and something similar has happened, the difference was that the patient was a woman and she tried to sit more than 370 lbs on a normal chair and fell on his back on hard ground. I called the attention of my subordinate since they should have suggested the patient to take a shower in a bathroom especially for obese people, but wait, she took the initiative to shower without help! She should have taken the initiative to use common sense as well and realize that the chair, obviously, doesn't support his weight.
